The client aimed to build shed areas in Kullu to offer comfort and support facilities for touring troupes, trekkers, and walkers. These structures were to include sitting and waiting areas, along with washrooms, to enhance convenience for visitors.
The goal was to improve the overall visitation experience by providing well-designed, sheltered spaces with necessary amenities, ensuring comfort during outdoor activities in the region. The sheds needed to be durable, weather-resistant, and environmentally sustainable, catering to the needs of both short-term and long-term visitors.
Shilpkar India successfully delivered a modular construction project using prefabrication technology, reducing on-site construction time and minimizing waste. The project involved providing architectural, structural, and MEP engineering solutions to ensure the modular units were both structurally sound and weather-resistant, considering the hilltop location.
Sustainable materials, such as lightweight steel and insulated PUF panels, were selected to enhance energy efficiency. The installation process was smooth, with minimal site disruption, as pre-constructed modules were swiftly assembled. Additionally, energy-efficient solutions, including solar lighting and rainwater harvesting, were implemented to further support the project’s sustainability goals.
